Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician / Phlebotomist to provide high-quality laboratory services in a healthcare setting. The selected candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, ensuring proper specimen handling, and supporting patient care by performing laboratory-related duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens accurately and safely.
  • Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Assist with routine laboratory procedures and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure patient comfort while providing professional and compassionate care.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Laboratory Technician or Phlebotomist.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification required/MLT.
  • Current BLS Certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of specimen collection, handling, and laboratory safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
