Description
Job Tittle: Laboratory Technician
Location: Riviera Beach, FL 33404
Duration: Full Time
Key Responsibilities
Perform standardized laboratory tests on soils and concrete materials in accordance with FDOT, AASHTO, and ASTM standards.
Accurately document test results and perform basic math calculations.
Maintain, calibrate, and inspect laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Enter test data into laboratory Information management software.
Identify and report any deviations, non-conformances, or quality concerns.
Adhere to safety protocols and environmental compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate or technical degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
0–3 years of experience in construction materials testing or laboratory work; entry-level candidates with relevant coursework or internships are encouraged to apply.
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Strong attention to detail with good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Basic knowledge of FDOT, AASHTO, and ASTM testing standards is a plus.
Valid driver's license required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in outdoor environments.
Comfortable working in high-heat environments, including asphalt plant and field settings.
