IEH Laboratories is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician at its facilities in Salinas, CA.
Ideal candidates should possess the following:
• A high school diploma or GED required, an associate degree in Biology or related field preferred • Proficiency with data entry and computer applications • Ability to learn new software and various lab equipment • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory • Able to regularly lift 30lbs above waist level
Laboratory Technician Duties -----------------------------
Labor Technician duties include:
• Mediasample preparation • Sample sorting and log-in • Performing specific sample testing steps under supervision • Transcribing results • Data entry • Inventory control • Washing glassware • General laboratory cleaning • Other duties as assigned
Pay Range and Benefits ------------------------
The pay range for this position is $19.00 hourly plus 2 night shift differential. This is a full-time position eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period:

Work Schedule ----------------
This position operates on rotational shifts:
• Morning: 7:30am-4pm • Evening: 3:30pm-12am • Night: 11:30pm-8am
The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and potential holidays. Due to exposure to various food allergens in the laboratory environment, applicants with moderate-to-severe food allergies are discouraged from applying.
