Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: San Jose, CA 95134
Duration: 0-5+ Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ( M-F)
Pay Rate: $23.00/Hour on W2
Job Description:
Training will start at 9am for the first months of assignment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Following established procedures to setup, fill and test various microplates
• Analyze large datasets using Excel and other advanced data analysis software
• Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Have at least an AS degree in Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline (required)
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a technical, manufacturing or laboratory position
• Must be familiar with laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, micropipettes and analytical balance
• Proficiency in PC applications skills: MS Word, Excel, MS Access, Windows Explorer
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb (not usual)
• Ability to do repetitive work
It would be a plus if previous experience in:
• Prior work experience with automation, plate readers, liquid handling equipment.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages (not required - this is a plus)

- The Laboratory Technician is responsible for utilizing a wide array of computers, tools and automated machines to manufacture and qualify microplates used in Liquid transfer products.
- This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Manufacturing Operation’s team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role.
