Position Type: Full-Time, Regular The Assistant CReM Lab Manager role is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in biomedical research operations. This position supports the day-to-day management of a large collaborative stem cell research lab by helping to maintain laboratory safety, organization, and compliance. Youll work closely with researchers and staff to ensure that essential lab functions run smoothly, making it a strong steppingstone for those considering research, biotech, or graduate school paths. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily lab upkeep tasks including checking deliveries, restocking supplies, disposing of lab waste, and maintaining tissue culture (TC) room readiness. Assist with weekly equipment maintenance, cleaning TC hoods and incubators, autoclaving materials, flushing eyewash stations, and updating cleaning logs. Help manage shared reagents and supplies, aliquot materials, and coordinate fridge and freezer storage. Support basic training, onboarding tours, and serve as a point of contact when the lab manager is away. Contribute to ongoing safety and compliance projects (e.g., chemical inventory audits, equipment calibration coordination, lab safety preparations). Respond to minor lab emergencies and help maintain shared community and break spaces. Ideal Candidate Will Have: A recent bachelors degree in biology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, or a related field. Some prior lab experience through coursework, internships, or research.
