JOB SUMMARY The R&D Technician will support Product Developers in the Citrus lab by preparing, testing, and evaluating beverage batches and concentrates. This role is responsible for supporting new product development and brand maintenance projects from the benchtop to the pilot plant. Key activities include conducting experiments, managing shelf life studies, maintaining detailed documentation, managing lab inventory, and ensuring a safe work environment in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities • Accurately prepare beverage and beverage concentrates for new product development and brand maintenance. • Set up and conduct experiments on the benchtop and support scheduled pilot plant productions. • Submit samples for Quality Control, Microbiology, and other required analyses. • Coordinate and collect data for product shelf life studies. • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all batches, experiments, and procedures. • Manage and document lab inventory, including product entries and purchase orders. • Support pilot plant trials, including product packing, shipping, and labeling. • Engage with suppliers for ingredient purchasing and follow-up discussions. • Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to GLP/GMP practices. • Collaborate with team members, product developers, and support teams to complete projects. • Travel to manufacturing sites to support trials when required. • Lift and move materials weighing up to 25 lbs. Required Qualifications • Science degree or equivalent experience conducting scientific experiments. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently. • Self-motivated, diligent, perseverant, and shows initiative. • Capable of identifying and organizing resources to conduct experiments. Education: Bachelors Degree
