Laboratory Technician

Receive and review samples to determine what type of testing is required for processing/quoting based on regulatory/industry requirements and client specifications. Work with multiple labs to coordinate testing and compile into one set of multifunctional reports.

Job Description

Ensure receipt of proper documentation/approval for processing of samples and update sample tracker.

Identify sample components and describe components through the sample's material list.

Assign applicable test requirements to each component based on the client's test request.

Identify and respond to client inquires/needs via phone and email

Ability to establish effective working and team relationships with internal and external customers, works in a collaborative manner

Seek support from technical managers and lab teams as needed

Complete all reports prior to the date due so that sufficient time is given for report review.

Organize incoming projects by the date due and severity based on duration

Experience in an administrative capacity.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, speak, read and write.

Proficient in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, and Outlook specifically.

Experience with SharePoint and LIMS-type database.

College graduate; preferably in a Scientific Field.

Strong organizational aptitude.

Ability to type at a very fast pace with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word.

Must be able to type 15-25 reports per day.
