Laboratory Technologist Opportunity

Role Summary

Under supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the technician will:

• Perform waived laboratory testing in mobile/remote settings
• Support point-of-care diagnostic operations
• Maintain quality control and instrument accuracy
• Assist with specimen collection and processing

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Evenings
• Shift Timing:
• • Monday–Friday
  • 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 8 Hours/Day

Weekend / On-Call

Compensation

• Pay Rate:
• • $26.00 – $32.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Duties

• Perform waived testing in:
• • Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Urinalysis
  • Molecular testing
  • Coagulation
• Process specimens and requisitions
• Monitor STAT turnaround times
• Confirm abnormal results
• Maintain QC records and reagent quality
• Perform instrument maintenance/troubleshooting
• Data entry of patient results

Specimen Collection

• Venipuncture
• Capillary blood collection

Operational Support

• Receive specimens from couriers/phlebotomists
• Manage inventory and documentation
• Troubleshoot client/instrument/computer issues
• Follow safety and compliance procedures

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Licensure / Certification

California-required qualification for waived testing:

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  OR
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
  OR
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Familiarity with laboratory workflows
• COVID-19 vaccination required
