Laborer I (Rec)
Part-Time, per diem
The Town of Natick is seeking a part-time, per diem Laborer to support the care and general upkeep of Recreation and Parks locations and operations from May through September.
Work Schedule:
This position 5-10 hours/week, split across Tuesdays & Thursdays, afternoons preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with seasonal program and facility setup and breakdown
- Performing routine restroom cleaning and inspections
- Monitoring the safety of public recreational areas and reporting concerns to the Director
- Raking, trimming, and watering landscaped and turf areas by hand; removing yard debris
- Cleaning and performing basic care of equipment and tools
- Assisting with minor repairs such as fences and pathway upkeep
- Supporting upkeep around community garden beds
- Collecting and removing trash and debris from parks, playgrounds, and gardens
Qualifications: - Landscape care knowledge and demonstrated experience are required.
- Ability to work independently and foster positive community partnerships.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation.
Compensation:
The hiring range: $16.00-$18.20 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is a part-time position, supporting operations from May until September. This position 5-10 hours/week, split across Tuesdays & Thursdays, afternoons preferred.
