Laborer III / Crew Leader
RES is seeking a Laborer III / Crew Leader to join our field operations team. This position is ideal for an experienced construction laborer who can both perform hands-on field work and lead a labor crew on stream restoration and stormwater construction projects.
The Laborer III / Crew Leader serves as the primary leader for the labor crew, working directly alongside crew members while coordinating daily activities with the Project Superintendent. This role is responsible for ensuring labor tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Experience installing erosion and sediment control measures on stream restoration, stormwater, utility, or heavy civil construction projects is required.
This position requires weekly travel throughout the Southeast, with overnight stays typically occurring Monday through Friday based on project location.

A Day in the Life
Your day begins with a safety meeting and work plan review with the Superintendent. You will communicate daily objectives to your crew, assign work responsibilities, and ensure the team has the proper tools, equipment, and PPE to perform the work safely.
Throughout the day, you will lead labor crews performing activities such as:
As the Crew Leader, you will actively monitor productivity, quality, and safety while maintaining communication with the Superintendent regarding project progress, manpower needs, material requirements, and field challenges.
You will also help train and mentor crew members, perform daily equipment inspections, maintain project documentation as required, and ensure work is completed according to project specifications.
