Working on active residential and commercial jobsites, you will support certified abatement and remediation crews with site containment setup, selective demolition, material handling, debris bagging/haul-away, and staging scaffolding across unique work environments (including rooftops, ductwork, and elevated staging). Description for Construction Laborer:
- Assist lead abatement and specialty trades crews with site prep, containment construction, poly sheeting installation, and negative air staging.
- Execute selective demolition, material removal, surface prep, and hazardous debris bagging under strict regulatory compliance.
- Load, unload, stage, and organize construction materials, HEPA filtration gear, decontamination units, and power tools.
- Assist with the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding, staging ladders, and elevated work platforms.
- Maintain spotless, tidy, and compliant decontamination zones, containment perimeters, and disposal trailers.
- Strictly adhere to company safety policies, hazardous material handling guidelines, and comprehensive PPE protocols (specialized PPE provided).
- Operate basic hand tools, pneumatic scrapers, and site cleanup equipment while communicating clearly with site superintendents and crew leads.
Details for Construction Laborer:
- Pay Rate: Starting at $25.00 / hour (Potential for higher starting wage based on relevant construction or remediation experience / DOE).
- Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Core Day Shift).
- Project Flexibility: Occasional night or weekend work may be required based on urgent commercial containment or school district schedules.
- Location: Lakewood, WA dispatch hub (servicing regional Puget Sound field jobsites).
- Work Environment: Indoor/outdoor residential and commercial sites, including confined spaces, crawlspaces, rooftops, ductwork, and scaffolding.
- Position Type: Temporary with strong potential for long-term placement and specialized industry certifications.
Requirements for Construction Laborer:
- Trade Experience: Previous background in general construction, commercial demolition, concrete, masonry, or site labor preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable performing continuous physical labor, climbing ladders/scaffolding, working at heights, and lifting 25–50+ lbs regularly.
- Licensing & Driving: Valid Washington State Driver's License with a clean, insurable driving record and reliable personal transportation.
- Gear Requirements: Must provide own steel-toed work boots and basic construction hand tools (specialized containment PPE and respirators provided by company).
- Compliance: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical fitness exam, and criminal background check.
