    POSITION OVERVIEWThe Laborer supports field operations by performing a wide range of construction related tasks including general cleaning, site preparation, installation and maintenance of protection, debris removal, and providing on site assistance as needed. This role requires working in both active construction sites and occupied luxury residences around Manhattan. The Laborer ensures the site remains clean, organized, and safe while assisting trades and contributing to the efficient flow of work. Basic use of hand tools, equipment, and protection materials is required.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSite Protection and General Support• Install and maintain protection on job sites and in occupied luxury residences• Move furniture, change light bulbs, and perform similar tasks as directed• Assist carpenters and other trades on site as requested• Monitor subcontractors and control site access and on site activities• Communicate clearly with team members through phone, email, and approved technologiesSite Cleanliness and Material Handling• Maintain a clean and orderly job site throughout the duration of the project• Remove debris and trash, load dumpsters, and move materials as needed• Load, unload, and distribute materials as instructed• Sweep and mop areas as required to maintain cleanliness• Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of tools and equipment on siteDemolition and General Labor• Perform basic demolition tasks• Support field operations by completing general labor assignments as required• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Project TeamQUALIFICATIONS• Experience operating in occupied finished and furnished luxury residences• Knowledge of protection methodologies specific to high end homes• Familiarity with duties performed by other trades, including materials, tools, and machinery preferred• OSHA 30 Hour required• Eight Hour Fall Prevention Training• Two Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training• Blue SST Card required• Four Hour Supported Scaffold• Asbestos Awareness• Mold, Lead & Silica Awareness• Driver’s License a plus!WORK ENVIRONMENTThe Laborer is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Noise levels on job sites can be loud. This role regularly works near moving mechanical equipment and in active construction environments that may include exposure to dust, asphalt, and uneven surfaces.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands of this position include lifting heavy objects, standing and walking for extended periods, and performing strenuous manual labor in challenging field conditions. The role requires the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry materials; use abdominal and lower back muscles for sustained physical effort; and move quickly when necessary. Strong manual dexterity and coordination across multiple limbs are essential. The Laborer must have excellent stamina and the ability to safely maneuver within an active construction environment.
