Laborer (Security Gates and Fencing)

Job Description:

Connect Talent Solutions, one of Virginia's fastest growing companies is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Security Gate and Fencing Concrete Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction and installation of high-level security gates and fencing systems, with a focus on concrete work. Your experience and expertise in concrete construction will be essential in ensuring the structural integrity and durability of these security installations.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the construction and installation of high-level security gates and fencing systems, with a primary focus on concrete work.

2. Prepare the work area by clearing debris, setting up formwork, and ensuring a safe and organized construction site.

3. Mix and pour concrete according to specifications, ensuring proper consistency and quality.

4. Assist in the installation of concrete footings, piers, and anchor points for security gates and fences.

5. Install rebar and mesh reinforcement within concrete structures to enhance their strength and stability.

6. Collaborate with the construction team to ensure accurate measurements, alignment, and levelness of concrete elements.

7. Operate various tools and equipment, such as concrete mixers, power tools, and hand tools, safely and effectively.

8. Assist in the fabrication and assembly of security gate components, including hinges, frames, and locks.

9. Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of construction tasks.

10. Comply with safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a laborer working with concrete in construction projects.

2. Solid understanding of concrete mixing ratios, pouring techniques, and curing processes.

3. Familiarity with formwork setup and reinforcement placement for concrete structures.

4. Ability to interpret construction drawings and follow specifications accurately.

5. Proficiency in using hand and power tools common in concrete construction.

6. Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.

7. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality concrete finishes.

8. Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the construction team.

9. Prior experience in security gate and fencing construction would be advantageous but not required.

10. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites as needed.
