What You'll be Doing

For Laborers with Ellingson Companies, travel and satisfying hard work is your way of life. You're not just putting cable in a ditch. You're working on interesting underground utilities projects, like helping run equipment under existing infrastructure. You will be trenching, pulling pipe onto fusers, operating equipment and working outdoors in all kinds of weather. You'll lift 50 lb sacks and you'll walk long distances in the field. And you'll be able to see a clear career path from laborer to leader over time.

Requirements:

• Travel is required; may be traveling across the midwest or nationally, depending on your position
• Use your training to work within industry standards
• Manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Follow all company policies and safety regulations
• Communicate with Job Site Foreman
• Be a team player and assist other crew members as needed
• Great attendance, flexibility and a positive attitude are required

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) OR one to three months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to work hard while performing physically demanding work in the field
• Must be able to stand and walk most of the day
• Must be able to kneel, squat, climb a ladder, operate hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs
• HDD experience preferred (not required)
• CDL preferred (not required)
• Follow all company policies and safety regulations
