Finish Line Staffing Services is hiring on behalf of our client for a dependable and hardworking Laborer to support daily operations in a busy machine shop environment.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Responsibilities include painting equipment and facility areas, sweeping and cleaning the shop, and assisting with general labor tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep and clean production floors, work areas, and common spaces
- Paint machinery, equipment, walls, and designated shop areas
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking
- Remove trash, debris, metal shavings, and other materials from the shop floor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist machine shop personnel with general labor and material handling tasks
- Operate basic hand tools and cleaning equipment safely
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Support other departments with additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout the shift
- Comfortable using hand tools and cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
