Labs Associate

Introduction

The position involves working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, handling and processing various types of samples. Candidates will be responsible for tasks that support the overall lab process, including sample handling, barcoding, and preparing samples for analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), operating and maintenance instructions, government rules, and technical procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong initiative and follow-through.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a team contributor.
• Must demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Good computer skills and/or data entry.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the role, including handling samples and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume lab environment such as LabCorp or Quest.
• Experience in fulfillment or fast-paced work environments like Amazon or FedEx.
• Background in food service or warehouse operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Checking in couriers and managing sample intake.
• Unbagging and barcoding samples.
• Moving samples throughout the lab and preparing them for analysis.
• Loading samples into analyzers and centrifuges.
• Handling and processing various biological samples with appropriate PPE.
