Position Overview: CSols Inc. is the premier independent lab informatics consultancy for science-driven enterprises. We don't just implement software; we architect the entire digital lab ecosystem. CSols is looking for a talented LabVantage Developer to design, build, and deliver high-quality LIMS solutions for our clients from data migration and system configuration to validation, testing, and ongoing support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
System Development & Architecture.
- Install, configure, administer, test, and maintain LabVantage LIMS solutions across project lifecycles.
- Serve as a GxP LIMS, ELN, and LES administrator, developer, and solution architect.
- Design and implement ELN/LES functionality, including template creation, policy setup, and control configuration.
Data Migration, Automation & AI Integration.
- Lead end-to-end data migration from legacy source systems (databases, flat files, spreadsheets, third-party LIMS/ELN platforms).
- Architect Data File Definitions (DFDs) and Configuration Migration Tool (CMT) packages to map, transform, and load data in compliance with validation and data integrity standards.
- Write automation scripts using SQL, Groovy/Java, or Python to accelerate data extraction and transformation cycles.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools for intelligent data mapping, automated transformation logic generation, and validation testing support to compress timelines and increase delivery accuracy.
Reporting, Requirements & Technical Documentation.
- Design and customize reports using Jaspersoft Studio and LabVantage reporting tools.
- Gather user requirements and translate them into functional specifications, technical designs, workflows, and controlled system documentation.
- Author and maintain GxP-compliant SOPs, work instructions, Installation Qualifications (IQ), change control records, testing documentation, and architecture diagrams.
Deployment & Operations Support/
- Manage deployment, release coordination, change management, production support, and continuous improvement for LIMS-enabled laboratories.
Requirements
Education & Experience.
- Education: B.S. in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical/scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering) with strong programming background (or equivalent practical experience).
- Core Experience: 5+ years of hands-on LabVantage LIMS implementation, customization, configuration, administration, and support (flexible based on depth of scripting/automation expertise).
Technical & Automation Skills
- Languages & DBs: Proficiency with Groovy and SQL required; working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or Python a plus. Experience with Oracle or other relational databases, and REST/API integration, also a plus.
- Modern Tooling: Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and accelerators applied to data migration, transformation, or automation workflows (preferred).
Compliance & Domain Expertise.
- Proven experience working with both GxP and Non-GxP lab environments.
- Hands-on experience validating LIMS changes within an active, regulated GxP environment.
