- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test equipment using commercial instruments such as NI PXI systems.
- Work with IT resources to ensure test software and data systems based on SQL database servers operate correctly, including performing data maintenance as required.
- Communicate test-related issues and findings to the R&D department, including submitting forms, markups, and other documentation updates.
- Support the analysis and continuous improvement of production test yield by identifying root causes of failures and proposing practical solutions.
- Support the transfer of test processes and technologies across the global supply chain, ensuring consistency and reliability of test methods.
- Contribute to the definition of test requirements and the creation of test processes for new products as part of the new product introduction team.
- Ensure the implementation of new test processes and tools in line with assigned action plans and project timelines.
- Apply problem anticipation and solving techniques and demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to resolve test and equipment issues.
- Use training in electronics and the ability to analyze electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve test failures and equipment problems.
- Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of various test fixtures and equipment using common tools to support maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Navigate and manage test environments that involve both Windows and Linux systems for products tested in a Windows-based test environment.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, build strong working relationships, and maintain a customer-focused approach to supporting production and R&D.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency with NI LabVIEW for developing and maintaining automated test software.
- Experience with NI TestStand for managing and executing automated test sequences.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Windows-based PC hardware and software, including versions such as Windows 98, XP, 7, and 10.
