Responsible for developing the curriculum and implementing/coordinating all instruction related to lactation services conducted by Knox Community Hospital.
Communicates with the medical community concerning lactation issues.
Works in cooperation with community organizations to promote the optimal use of the hospital's resources to meet the needs of lactating mothers and their newborns.
Contributes to the quality of delivered patient care through communications both directly and indirectly with healthcare team.
Care will be provided to neonatal, adolescent and adult patients
Requirements Include
Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred
Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required
Minimum two (2) years experience in the field of Obstetrics
Certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultants Examiners or certification eligible and pass boards within one year from date of hire
S.T.A.B.L.E. is required or must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
