Ladle Crane Operator

Basic Job Functions:

The Ladle Crane Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the cab operated cranes in the center isle of the melt shop. Basic responsibilities include but are not limited to moving both full and empty ladles around the ladle isle, stocking material for general operations, making other miscellaneous moves related to both production and maintenance and assisting in other areas of the melt shop when needed.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous overhead cab crane experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Hot Metal Crane Operating experience
