Position Overview
Ladoga Elementary School-a proud National Blue Ribbon School and Indiana IDOE STEM Certified building-is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and student-centered 4th Grade Teacher for the upcoming school year.
As a 4th-grade educator at Ladoga, you will join a highly rated, dedicated team committed to fostering academic excellence, personal growth, and mutual respect. The ideal candidate will create a vibrant, engaging classroom culture that encourages critical thinking, integrates STEM principles, and supports a newly split, smaller class size for optimal student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Leadership: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction in alignment with Indiana Academic Standards for 4th grade.
- STEM Integration: Utilize Ladogas STEM-certified resources to implement hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that foster problem-solving and collaboration.
- Classroom Culture: Establish a positive, structured, and inclusive environment that promotes accountability, high expectations, and a love for learning (#ProudToBeAMountie).
- Data-Driven Instruction: Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative data to guide instruction, close achievement gaps, and challenge advanced learners.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), cross-grade level planning, and school-wide initiatives.
- Communication: Maintain open, proactive communication with parents, guardians, and administration regarding student growth and behavioral success.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure: Holds (or is eligible for) a valid Indiana Elementary Teaching License.
- Skills: Strong understanding of child development, standard-based grading, and effective classroom management strategies. Excellent communication and technological proficiency.
