JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Lake Park Attendant Grade: I FLSA: Non-Exempt Department: Revenue Facilities

 

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Lake Park Supervisor and/or Golf and Facilities Supervisor

 

BASIC FUNCTION

Lake Park Attendant will provide quality customer service to all golfers and boaters of Lake Park with an emphasis on safety. Lake Park Attendant will be responsible for limited transactions through POS and will be required to collect payment and process payments accurately.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Greeting the public. Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service. Provide information on Park District activities and facilities.
  • Enter all transactions into POS system, collect payment, issue change and receipt for all admissions or concessions sales.
  • Balance cash drawer at end of each shift, complete all required paperwork
  • Prepare concession food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Responsible for operating and cleaning food preparation equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies in the facility which may include incidents of a serious nature.
  • Work as a team with the entire staff.
  • Monitor waterfront activity.
  • Assist customers with life vests for paddle boats, kayaks and fishing boat.
  • Ensure customers safely enter and exit the pier.
  • Check course for speed of play and to make sure all golfers are following the rules.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

 

OTHER DUTIES

  • Be aware of activity on lake and golf course and address issues as needed.
  • Answer all guest questions and concerns.
  • Assist with incoming groups, as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual
  • Direct patrons in the event of an emergency, such as fire, severe weather
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Some High School Classwork Experience: Money handling experience recommended Experience using Point of Sale systems preferred Certifications: First Aid, CPR and AED certifications, Classes available through Park
