Principle Accountabilities:

  • Must perform quality checks and inform the Single Face Operator and Laminator Operator of any sheet quality issues.
  • Responsible for set-up and operation of downstacker section of machine, troubleshooting mechanical issues as required.
  • Lay mylar over label to determine die-cut lead edge and determine print registration tolerances.
  • Work with crew to maximize efficiency of machine through communication of quality problems, including but not limited to order line-up, loose liner, warp, correct size, print, and flute.
  • Communicate with supervisor and other crews members regarding mechanical problems.
  • Train with and assist Laminator Operator with job duties.
  • Required to perform duties of Operator during breaks, which will require setting up the feeder.
  • Maintain neat, orderly area.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Employee must be able to work on elevated surface, frequently climbing up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to stand constantly, bend and reach with arms frequently.
  • If machine is not equipped with pallet inserter, employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions, such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
  • Must be able to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to communicate using a 2-way (noise filtering) radio headset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in press/laminating department.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to work within a team, effectively communicating with members.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting salary for position: $25.71 per hour.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
  • Paid Vacation: Two weeks per calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
