Job Title: Laminator Operator I (Night Shift)

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Schedule: 12-hour continental night shift (rotating schedule, includes weekends)
Employment Type: Full-Time


Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laminator Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for safely operating laminating equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with machinery, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor laminating equipment according to established procedures
  • Mix adhesives according to specified formulas and verify calculations for each production run
  • Interpret job orders and ensure product specifications are met
  • Perform first-piece quality checks and report any issues to leadership
  • Add adhesives, change raw material rolls, and manage substrates during operation
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas in accordance with safety and quality standards
  • Handle and dispose of materials in compliance with hazardous waste procedures
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic issues as needed
  • Report safety concerns, quality issues, and incidents promptly
  • Participate in audits, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide support for machine operations during break coverage or as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of machine operator experience (lamination experience preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with measurements and handling chemicals
  • Ability to read and use a ruler or tape measure accurately
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attendance
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
