Position Overview
We are hiring an Upholstery Production Associate for a leading manufacturing facility in Reno, NV. This hands-on role involves working with materials such as fabric, vinyl, and leather to assemble and finish products.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with tools, have strong attention to detail, and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and prepare upholstery materials
- Wrap and bond fabric, vinyl, leather, or laminate to frames or molded parts
- Stretch and secure materials for a smooth, wrinkle-free finish
- Prepare materials for laminating (cutting, trimming, staging)
- Apply laminate to surfaces such as plastic, wood, or metal
- Use hand tools, staple guns, adhesives, and cutting tools safely
- Inspect finished products for quality, alignment, and defects
- Meet daily production goals and follow schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Assist with packaging and labeling when needed
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Work Environment
- Manufacturing / production setting
- Fast-paced with repetitive tasks
- Requires standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, upholstery, or similar experience is a plus (not required)
- Ability to use hand tools and adhesives
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40–50 lbs
- Steel-toe boots required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Schedule & Overtime
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime: Fridays & Saturdays as needed
