Verdantas is seeking a Land Development Engineer III to support our growing team in Wilmington, DE.
As a Land Development Engineer III, you'll work with multidisciplinary design teams and support high-impact site development projects across Delaware. Your work will span site layouts and grading, stormwater management and erosion control, water and wastewater utility design, and permitting.
What You'll Do:
Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design
Perform technical engineering work associated with land development:
Stormwater management design
Site grading and utility design
Erosion and sedimentation control design
Prepare plans for agency/municipal review
Complete various land development and environmental permitting applications
Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand
Candidates should have a strong desire to grow and advance as engineers or technical designers
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
4-10 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering design
Professional Engineering License required
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Familiarity with Civil 3D
Familiarity with AutoCAD SSA or other stormwater modeling software
Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Salary Range:
The compensation range starts at $85, 000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensures.
