This position provides an opportunity to work on complex multi-disciplined projects for major institutional, industrial, coastal and real estate clients along with local and state government and plays an important role in expanding and shaping the civil engineering team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects in the Industrial, Institutional, Real Estate, Coastal and Energy MarketHelp build and lead a multi-dimensional team of civil engineering professionalsProvide technical and career guidance as a mentor to staff; manage small, medium, and large project tasksAssist in the development of project opportunities and manage proposal submissionsSupport preparation of land development design and permitting documentsAssist in project task scope, budget and schedule managementPrepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems designedAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, boards, commissions, utility providers and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issuesSupervise design team activities during Construction AdministrationSkills and AttributesExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProficient in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion/sediment control, and stormwater managementExperience with real estate projects, institutional and energy projects is a plusAn understanding of other civil engineering or geomatics disciplines such as land survey, traffic engineering or highway design is a plusAbility to think critically and multitaskStrong computer skills (CAD & MS Office)Exhibits leadership skillsExcels working in an integrated service team environmentAttention to detailSelf-motivatedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field5-8+ years of professional civil design engineering experience requiredPE licensure requiredUnderstanding of the Long Island marketplace is a plusExperience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D, and/or MicroStationDirect client and project management experienceSalaryOur best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Hauppauge, NY is $105,000-145,000.
