Tesoro Technology has partnered with a prominent national survey and engineering firm specializing in renewable energy and land development. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Land Survey Crew Chief to work remotely, primarily supporting projects in your area. This contract-to-hire position offers significant growth opportunities within a dynamic and expanding company.
Position: Land Survey Crew Chief
Location: Pennsylvania area (with travel requirements)
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000
Travel Schedule: 3-4 weeks on-site / 1 week off
Per Diem: $205/day (7 days/week)
Hours:75-85 hours/week during travel periods
***Must have a Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving history***
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Land Survey Crew Chief to join our client’s team and deliver exceptional surveying services to both internal and external clients.
What You'll Do:
- Lead survey crews and provide technical expertise for diverse surveying projects
- Pre-design boundary, Topography, and ALTA surveys.
- Operate Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and differential leveling equipment
- Utilize heavy line coding systems for pre-design survey processes
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality Management, and Equipment Maintenance policies
- Build strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery
What We're Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience managing survey crews
- Proficiency with total stations and GPS (static and RTK modes)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required)
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Physical ability to carry equipment (up to 50 lbs) and navigate construction sites
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Experience:
- Associate degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or equivalent field experience
- Background in Land Development (Commercial/Residential) and Public Infrastructure
- Knowledge of Public Land Survey System monument recovery
