Job Title: Land Technician

Location: Concord, CA

Pay Rate: $40 - $50/hr, W2

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Work Mode: Hybrid

EQUIPMENT:
- client laptop will be provided. Docking station may potentially be provided by the client, if unavailable, supplier to provide. Monitors, peripherals, will need to be provided by Contractor/supplier.
- PPE: Client will provide
- With prior Manager approval, may submit travel expense (mileage) for reimbursements for locations other than their Concord CA headquarters.

TOP THINGS:
Land Surveyor In Training certificate – LSIT, prior professional experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for land surveying or civil engineering purposes, strong oral and written communicator.

Summary:

  • Local candidates only, preference for those closer to Concord, CA
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hrs/day, start time must be 8:30 AM or earlier

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine work as a member of a survey party, making precise survey measurements using conventional and state-of-the-art surveying instruments
  • Interpret legal descriptions of real property and survey calculations
  • Research, analyze, check, and adjust survey data
  • Research title and compile evidence and documentation for boundary determination
  • Prepare maps from field notes, office data, and title searches
  • Plot plan profiles, road cross-sections, topography, contours, and special drawings
  • Assemble information for processing, clearing, and correcting rights-of-way and land matters
  • Prepare legal descriptions of real property and routine documents for acquisition of easements
  • Process necessary forms for procuring permits and prepare quitclaims
  • Secure signatures and permits, inspect property, and investigate encroachments
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence

Requirements:

  • Two years of Civil Engineering or Survey Technology training or equivalent education and/or experience in land surveying and title work
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Physical ability to perform field survey work

Preferred Skills:

  • Land Surveyor In Training certificate (LSIT)
  • Professional experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for land surveying or civil engineering purposes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
