Land Technician
Location: Hybrid Work from home with occasional reporting to Concord, CA and possible field support
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8-hour shifts | Start time must be 8:30 AM or earlier
Pay: $45.00 $47.00/hr, paid weekly
Duration: 1-Year Contract
Overview
Seeking a Land Technician with experience in land surveying, title research, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role supports survey operations, right-of-way projects, land acquisition activities, and preparation of legal land documents. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Top Qualifications
- Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification preferred.
- Professional experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for land surveying or civil engineering projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with surveying, title research, and land documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform field surveying duties using conventional and advanced surveying equipment.
- Collect, analyze, and verify survey data and measurements.
- Interpret legal property descriptions and boundary information.
- Conduct title research and compile documentation for boundary determinations.
- Prepare maps, drawings, profiles, cross-sections, topographic exhibits, and survey-related documents.
- Support right-of-way acquisitions, easements, permits, leases, and land transactions.
- Draft legal descriptions and process land-related documentation.
- Research, investigate, and report on property and land issues.
- Inspect properties and assist with resolving encroachments and land-use concerns.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and correspondence.
- Operate survey vehicles when required.
Qualifications
- Two years of Civil Engineering, Survey Technology training, or equivalent education and experience in land surveying and title work.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Ability to perform field survey work.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
