Landscape Architec ($85k-95k) A well-established Dallas-based landscape architecture and planning firm is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join its collaborative design studio. The firm works across a diverse range of project types, including intimate gardens, civic spaces, public realms, recreation-focused environments, and large-scale master planning.
As Landscape Architect, you will help lead projects from early concept through construction while collaborating with planners, urban designers, architects, engineers, clients, and community stakeholders. Performance Objectives- Lead multiple landscape architecture projects each year from concept through construction documentation while maintaining design quality, schedule, and budget.
- Integrate ecological, cultural, recreational, and community considerations into site planning and landscape design.
- Produce clear drawings, renderings, construction documents, and presentations that communicate design intent to clients, agencies, consultants, and contractors.
- Coordinate closely with planners, urban designers, architects, and engineers to identify and resolve site constraints early in the design process.
- Manage projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a studio environment that values thoughtful critique, technical quality, and strong design.
- Develop lasting client relationships through responsive communication, strong project delivery, and consistent follow-through.
Environment & ResourcesYou will work from a Dallas studio alongside landscape architects, planners, urban designers, and firm leadership.
The team utilizes AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, GIS, and other industry-standard design and production tools. Site visits and occasional project-related travel may be required.
The studio offers direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to design decisions, project strategy, and client relationships.
Essential Qualifications- Licensed Landscape Architect or ability to obtain Texas licensure.
- 5+ years of professional landscape architecture experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating built work across public realm, civic, commercial, residential, recreation, or similar project types.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from schematic design through construction administration.
- Experience producing complete and buildable construction documentation.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and relevant design, graphics, and production software.
- Strong written, verbal, graphic, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex design concepts effectively to clients, agencies, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of regional ecology, planting design, horticulture, site planning, and applicable codes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project priorities.
