Landscape Architecture InternLocation: Indianapolis, INPosition SummaryThe Landscape Architecture Intern will support JQOL's landscape architecture team on a variety of projects while gaining hands-on experience in a professional design environment. This position provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects, develop technical and design skills, and learn from experienced landscape architects and designers.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of landscape architecture plans, details, exhibits, planting plans, and construction documents.Support the development of landscape designs through sketches, drawings, diagrams, renderings, and 3D models.Participate in site visits and assist with site analysis, including topography, vegetation, and existing site conditions.Conduct research related to native plants, landscape materials, sustainability practices, and applicable regulations.Assist with the preparation of client presentation materials, including renderings, diagrams, and layout plans.Work collaboratively with landscape architects, engineers, surveyors, and project managers to support project goals and deadlines.Assist with project documentation, including plans, sections, details, and planting designs.Learn and utilize AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software.Gain exposure to project coordination, scheduling, and other aspects of the project lifecycle.Assist with other projects and team needs assigned.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Previous experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software is a plus.Creative mindset with an interest in landscape design, sustainability, and the built environment.Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
