Landscape Construction Crew Member

Reliable Transportation Required — Driver’s License Not Required

Rine Landscape Group is seeking a dependable Landscape Construction Crew Member to join our construction team.

This is a hands-on position working alongside a Crew Leader and other team members to install plants, patios, retaining walls, natural stone, lawns, and other landscape features. Previous experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, works well with others, and takes pride in doing quality work.

Important: Reliable transportation to the shop and assigned jobsites is required. A driver’s license is not required for this position.

This position reports to the Landscape Construction Crew Leader.

Compensation and Benefits

Responsibilities

• Assist with plant installation, including transporting plants, preparing soil, adding amendments, and placing plant material.
• Move materials around jobsites using wheelbarrows, ball carts, tarps, hand tools, and other equipment.
• Use shovels, picks, rakes, and other hand tools to prepare planting areas, install hardscape elements, grade lawns, and complete seed or sod installation.
• Assist with installing concrete pavers, natural stone, retaining walls, patios, and other landscape features.
• Support other softscape, hardscape, and landscape-maintenance activities as assigned.
• Safely operate and care for assigned tools and equipment.
• Report equipment damage, malfunctions, or repair needs to the Crew Leader.
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites.
• Complete jobsite cleanup and help account for company equipment and materials.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials.
• Maintain a professional appearance and interact politely with clients.
• Arrive on time, listen carefully, and complete assignments provided by the Crew Leader.

Winter Operations

• Participate in snow-removal operations during the winter months.
• Assist with snow-removal tasks and safely operate assigned equipment when qualified and authorized.

Required Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to the shop and assigned jobsites
• Ability to read and understand basic work instructions
• Willingness to learn landscape-construction practices and safe equipment operation
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of landscape, construction, horticulture, or related experience
• Familiarity with planting, pruning, hardscape installation, or landscape maintenance
• Experience using hand tools or operating landscape-construction equipment

Previous experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate reliability, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Physical and Work Requirements
