Landscape Construction Professional
Company Overview
We are a landscape construction company specializing in hardscaping, site work, softscaping, and irrigation for residential and commercial projects. Our crews deliver durable, high-quality outdoor environments, from patios and retaining walls to full landscape installations.
We take pride in workmanship you can see and touch every day, creating outdoor spaces that our clients enjoy for years and that our team is proud to drive by and say, "We built that."
The Opportunity
We are hiring Landscape Construction Professionals who want to build their skills and career in outdoor construction. You do not need to be an expert in everything. If you bring solid experience in one or more of our core disciplines and want to keep learning, you will have the opportunity to grow your capabilities with us.
In this hands-on field role, you will help build complete outdoor spaces from the ground up. You will work closely with experienced foremen and crew members, taking on challenging projects across hardscaping, site work, irrigation, and softscaping as you prove yourself and earn more responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Build hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and other masonry or stone elements according to plans and specifications.
- Prepare and shape job sites through grading, excavation, drainage installation, and base preparation to create solid foundations for each project.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot irrigation systems, including piping, valves, and controllers, to ensure reliable and efficient watering.
- Complete softscape installations by planting trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, and mulch to bring outdoor spaces to life and finish projects to a high standard.
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, or excavators when applicable, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized job site and working closely with your crew to deliver quality results.
What Success Looks Like
- Within the first 3–6 months, consistently complete assigned tasks on time and to quality standards in at least one core area of landscape construction.
- Work effectively as part of a crew, communicating clearly with foremen and teammates and following project plans, layouts, and directions with minimal rework.
- Demonstrate strong safety habits, maintain clean and organized work areas, and help minimize material waste and equipment downtime.
- Over 6–12 months, expand your skills into additional specialties such as hardscaping, irrigation, or equipment operation, becoming a go-to contributor who can be trusted with more complex work.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in landscape construction, outdoor labor, construction trades, or related hands-on work.
- Practical skills in one or more areas: hardscaping or masonry, irrigation installation or repair, site work and grading, planting and landscape installation, or heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform manual labor, and safely lift and move materials as needed throughout the day.
- Reliable, safety-conscious team player with attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a valid driver's license.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay based on experience.
- Overtime opportunities during peak construction seasons.
- Career advancement and skill-building opportunities within a growing company.
- Company-provided tools and a professional, team-oriented work environment.
- Medical, Dental, Vision & IRA with company match offered.
- Paid holiday, accrued sick, and vacation time.
