Landscape Construction Technician
Company Overview
We are a landscape construction company specializing in hardscaping, site work, softscaping, and irrigation for residential and commercial projects. Our crews deliver durable, high-quality outdoor environments, from patios and retaining walls to full landscape installations.
We take pride in workmanship you can see and touch every day, creating outdoor spaces that our clients enjoy for years and that our team is proud to drive by and say, "We built that."
The Opportunity
We are hiring Landscape Construction Professionals with experience in one or more areas of landscape construction. You do not need to be an expert in everything. If you bring solid skills in any of our core disciplines and want to keep learning, you will have the opportunity to grow your capabilities with us.
In this role, you will work hands-on in the field, building outdoor spaces, collaborating with experienced crews, and expanding your skills across hardscaping, site work, irrigation, and softscaping as you take on more responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Build hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and other masonry or stone elements according to plans and specifications
- Assist with site work including grading, excavation, drainage installation, and base preparation to create a solid foundation for each project
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot irrigation systems, including piping, valves, and controllers, to ensure efficient watering
- Complete softscape installations by planting trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, and mulch to finish outdoor spaces
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, or excavators when applicable, while maintaining a safe and organized job site and working closely with crew members to deliver quality results
What Success Looks Like
- Within the first 3–6 months, consistently complete assigned tasks on time and to quality standards across at least one core area of landscape construction
- Work effectively as part of a crew, communicating clearly with foremen and teammates and following project plans and directions
- Demonstrate safe work habits, maintain clean and organized work areas, and help minimize rework and material waste
- Over 6–12 months, expand your capabilities into additional specialties such as hardscaping, irrigation, or equipment operation, becoming a go-to contributor on your crew
What We're Looking For
- Experience in landscape construction, outdoor labor, construction trades, or related work
- Hands-on skills in one or more areas: hardscaping or masonry, irrigation installation or repair, site work and grading, planting and landscape installation, or heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, perform manual labor, and lift materials as needed
- Reliable, safety-conscious team player with attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a valid driver's license
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay based on experience
- Overtime opportunities during peak construction seasons
- Career advancement and skill-building opportunities within a growing company
- Company-provided tools and a professional, team-oriented work environment
