Position Summary
The Crew Member-Driver, Landscape plays an essential role in delivering high-quality landscape maintenance services for Sunrise Landscape's commercial clients. Working as part of a field crew, this position is responsible for performing landscape maintenance tasks while safely transporting crew members, tools, and materials to and from client properties.
The Crew Member-Driver partners with the Crew Leader, Foreman, and branch leadership to support daily route execution, maintain property quality standards, and contribute to a safe and productive team environment. A successful Crew Member-Driver brings strong work ethic, attention to detail, operational discipline, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
As one of our Crew Member-Drivers, you will have the following areas of responsibility:
Daily Maintenance & Operations
- Safely drive company vehicles to and from assigned client properties while transporting crew members, equipment, and materials
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, and debris removal
- Maintain turf, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds to company quality standards
- Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers, safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and debris at job sites and branch locations
- Ensure all work is completed to Sunrise Landscape quality standards and client expectations
Teamwork & Safety
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and follow all company vehicle safety procedures
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, equipment issues, safety concerns, or incidents promptly to leadership
- Work collaboratively with Crew Leaders, Foremen, and fellow crew members to complete scheduled work efficiently
- Follow all company safety protocols, including proper PPE use and safe equipment handling
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and working condition
Customer Service & Professionalism
- Demonstrate pride in workmanship by leaving each property clean, professional, and well-maintained
- Interact respectfully and professionally with clients, residents, and the public while on job sites
- Support a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- One to two years of landscaping or lawn maintenance experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices and safe equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and client satisfaction
Driver Qualifications
To qualify as a Driver, in addition to the above, you must:
- Possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States for a minimum of three years
- Maintain a clean driving record for at least three years
- Successfully pass a drug screening
