Landscape/Irrigation Technician The Landscape/Irrigation Technician is a full-time position supervised directly by the Landscape Supervisor. The Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, health, safety, and functionality of Berkeley’s 84-acre campus landscapes through mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation maintenance, debris removal, and related groundskeeping activities. Duties include scheduled maintenance, project work, minor landscape and irrigation installations, and support for campus operations as needed. The Landscape Technician should have at least one (1) year of experience in a landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or irrigation maintenance, preferably in an institutional , commercial, or educational environment. Experience troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems is preferred. . A positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to teamwork are essential. Performance of job duties may require driving a Berkeley-owned vehicle. If so, a current Florida driver’s license is required as well as acceptance by Berkeley Preparatory School’s automobile insurance company. Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time, non-exempt position with salary and full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and the national independent school and college markets.
