Compensation: $43,000 - $48,000 depending on experience

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape and Maintenance Trainee to join our team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate, eager to learn, ready to assist, and excited to gain hands-on experience. You'll have the opportunity to grow your skills through mentorship, collaborative teamwork, and real-world projects that balance creative design with practical fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Help with landscape projects ranging in scale from planting trees, shrubs, and perennials to hardscaping projects and drainage on our client properties.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as efficiently on your own while taking care of client properties and taking pride in the end results of their work.
• Interact with clients daily, communicating the process and expectations of services needed and services performed along with recommendations for other RYAN services needed on their property.
• Possess a general knowledge of Design/Build practices as well as other RYAN services.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Able to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk, stand, and push/pull equipment for extended periods, including up to 3 miles per day in the field
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round
• 6 months of landscape experience is preferred

All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment. Candidates must meet all screening requirements as a condition of employment.
