Landscape Operations Manager

Location: Middletown, PA (serving Lancaster, Harrisburg, & Surrounding Areas)

This role is built for a strong landscape leader who can work hands-on in the field while also managing production, crew direction, jobsite organization, and client communication. You will help lead day-to-day landscape operations across installation and property enhancement projects, making sure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.

Responsibilities

Field Leadership + Production Management

• Lead and support 1-6 crew members across landscape projects
• Perform hands-on landscape work while directing daily production
• Break larger projects into manageable tasks and keep work moving on schedule
• Plan labor, equipment, and material needs for each job
• Maintain daily job logs and communicate progress clearly

Landscape + Installation Work

• Softscape installs, mulch beds, plantings, pruning, edging, and general property clean-up
• Decorative garden walls and small retaining features
• Operate skid steers and other tools/equipment as needed
• Read plans/blueprints and ensure work is completed correctly

Communication + Standards

• Communicate with clients and office staff professionally
• Maintain jobsite safety standards and PPE compliance
• Help protect quality, efficiency, and overall customer experience

Winter Work

• Participate in snow removal operations during the winter season
• This may include overnight, early morning, weekend, or extended shifts during snow events

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-7 years of landscape, hardscape, or related field leadership experience
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to read plans and manage production timelines
• Math and measuring skills
• Experience driving a pickup truck/trailer combination is required
• Reliable transportation
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record
• Smartphone/data device capability for field communication
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions
• Background check required after a conditional offer of employment

Pay & Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 year-round employment
• Pay: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
• Overtime opportunities
• Strong weekly performance bonuses, with realistic total earnings in the $75,000-$85,000 range for high performers
• Paid Vacation: 80 hours annually, with an additional 8 hours at 1 year of employment
• Unpaid Vacation: 80 hours annually
• Paid Sick Time: 24 hours annually

• Health Insurance Reimbursement: one-half of the monthly cost, up to $150
