Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engines and power equipment. Responsibilities/Duties:
Diagnose and repair small engine (2-stroke and 4-stroke)
Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups
Order and install replacement parts
Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.
Provide excellent customer service and explain repairs clearly
Uphold a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the mechanic team.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of small engine repair, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and power equipment systems (Certification a plus)
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Comfortable using a variety of shop tools, diagnostic software, and repair manuals.
Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work orders efficiently.
Ability to work independently and as par of a team
Credentials and Experience:
Prior experience as a Service Mechanic, Equipment Technician, or similar role preferred.
1-3 years of hands-on experience in small engine repair or related field
Forklift operation experience is a plus - certification provided
Physical Demands
Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
May be required to look at the computer screen for long periods of time
