Landscaping Crew Leader Trainee
Penmac Staffing in Russellville is now hiring a Landscaping Crew Leader Trainee for a local client. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced landscaping professional who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in leading by example, and is interested in growing into a leadership role. The right candidate will help oversee daily landscaping projects, support team members in the field, and demonstrate the initiative needed for future advancement within the company. Pay starts at $13 to $15 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements for the Landscaping Crew Leader Trainee
Must be 19 years of age or older
Previous landscaping, lawn care, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience preferred
Prior experience leading, training, or directing a crew is strongly preferred
Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
Drug screen required; medical marijuana cards cannot be accepted
Must sign a heat stress awareness form outlining symptoms and prevention
Must have a valid driver's license and a semi-clean MVR to drive company vehicles
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team
Ability to perform physical labor, including bending, standing, trimming, and operating landscaping equipment
No lifting over 40 pounds
Landscaping Crew Leader Trainee Responsibilities
Lead by example while performing mowing, weed eating, trimming, and general lawn maintenance
Assist with organizing daily work assignments and ensuring tasks are completed correctly and efficiently
Help train and support crew members on proper landscaping techniques and safety procedures
Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites
Monitor job quality and communicate project needs to supervisors
Perform cleanup, groundskeeping, and general labor duties as needed
Follow all company safety procedures and heat-stress guidelines while working outdoors
Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and leadership potential for future growth opportunities
Pay range of $13 to $15 per hour, DOE
