Do you have a clean driving record, landscaping experience, and a passion for leading others? We're looking for a dependable Landscape Foreman/Driver to lead crews, train team members, and ensure our projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
In this role, you will oversee a crew of 2 to 5 team members while working alongside them in the field. You'll be responsible for managing daily operations, maintaining quality standards, and helping develop the next generation of landscape professionals.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Crew Development
- Lead, motivate, and support a crew of 2 to 5 employees.
- Train new and existing team members on proper landscaping techniques, safety procedures, and company standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help crew members improve and succeed.
- Assist management in evaluating crew performance and identifying training opportunities.
Operations & Quality Control
- Organize and delegate daily tasks to ensure jobs are completed on time and to client expectations.
- Perform and oversee landscape maintenance, installations, irrigation work, seasonal color installations, and related services.
- Monitor work quality and ensure all projects meet company standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity on job sites.
Customer Service
- Maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Address customer concerns promptly and communicate them to management when needed.
- Help ensure a positive customer experience on every property.
Safety & Equipment Management
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily equipment and vehicle inspections.
- Ensure trucks, trailers, and equipment are maintained and operated safely.
- Track equipment usage and report maintenance needs promptly.
Administrative Duties
- Keep accurate crew time records and daily job reports.
- Ensure all work is documented correctly and submitted on time.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in landscaping, landscape maintenance, or landscape installation.
- Proven leadership or crew management experience.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment, trucks, and trailers.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Preferred
- Experience training and developing crew members.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant identification, and landscape installation techniques.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and humidity.
- Ability to bend, kneel, walk, dig, rake, and perform other landscaping tasks throughout the workday.
