The applicant must be knowledgeable in areas that support Indigenous education: Chokecherry harvesting, pow wow organization, Native American Heritage Month, Round Dances, storytelling and Indigenous singing. Helps organize supplies for monthly Cultural Learning Opportunities and Language and Culture Department meetings. The applicant must possess strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate, take direction and feedback. The applicant must have knowledge of collaborating with a team, teachers, students and the community. Experience working with students in an academic environment. A background check is required. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides creative input and support in Language and Culture initiatives. integrity, cultural awareness, and elements of creative expression. Collaborates with the Language and Culture Department to support monthly Cultural Learning Opportunities. Supports the planning, development, implementation and storage of Cultural Learning Opportunity equipment. Provides support to teachers and students throughout Cultural Learning Opportunities.
