Seeking experienced Horizontal Machinists in Mobile, AL for immediate openings.
- Set up and operate large horizontal mills, machining centers, or boring mills to produce steel and alloy components.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining processes.
- Perform complex setups, including fixturing, leveling, and aligning large parts.
- Select tooling, adjust speeds and feeds, and monitor machining for accuracy and surface finish.
- Inspect parts with precision tools and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
- Maintain equipment, ensure safety, and keep work areas organized.
Qualifications include 3+ years of horizontal milling experience, understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, and heavy material handling skills. CNC experience is a plus.
