Large Mechanical Assembly Technician Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Shift: 1st Shift Employment Type: Full-Time Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a skilled Large Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience assembling electrical machinery, equipment, control boards, and/or sheet metal components.This position plays an important role in producing high-quality products. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to manufacturing excellence and quality. Duties & Responsibilities
Perform general sheet metal and mechanical assembly.
Read and follow basic assembly drawings and instructions.
Use basic hand tools, drills, impact wrenches, ratchets, and other power tools.
Accurately read and use a tape measure.
Operate a Skyjack safely and effectively.
Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment.
Assemble large mechanical and electrical components according to specifications.
Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper fit.
Identify and resolve basic assembly issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.
Work effectively with team members and with minimal supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
Proven experience as an assembler in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical assembly experience preferred.
Experience working with sheet metal and/or electrical equipment preferred.
Understanding of basic metal properties and machinery.
Ability to read and understand basic assembly drawings.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to safely use ladders.
Ability to operate a Skyjack and cranes.
Experience
Previous manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.
Ability to work with arms extended above the shoulders.
Ability to climb and work from ladders.
Ability to work safely around large machinery and equipment.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment.
