Job Overview

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Laser Programmer / Operator to join a fast-paced metal fabrication team. In this role, you’ll create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs/cut files, support production quality, and help drive continuous improvement in a precision manufacturing environment.

Duties

• Develop and write CNC programs using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard software) to produce complex metal components
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate cutting/machining processes
• Support setup of tools, fixtures, and tooling to optimize manufacturing operations
• Program CNC equipment utilizing Fanuc controls and other control systems to achieve precise results on various metals
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) as part of quality control
• Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine parameters; adjust programs/settings to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity
• Maintain documentation for programs, setups, and inspection results to support traceability and quality standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication / precision manufacturing preferred)
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA (or similar)
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc control systems and CAM programming software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, tooling selection, and setup procedures
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges); CMM experience is a plus
• Understanding of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement concepts
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• $25.00–$30.00/hr
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
