    Description

    HiFyve is hiring a Laser Engraving Technician in the manufacturing industry in Lee's Summit, MO!

    Salary: $26–$34/hr

    Shift: Day Shift

    Location: Lee's Summit, MO

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Set up and operate industrial laser systems used for marking, engraving, texturing, and welding applications.

    Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software to program laser systems and customer projects.

    Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and job instructions to ensure customer specifications are met.

    Process first article parts, inspect finished products, and document results to quality standards.

    Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.

    Maintain exceptional attention to detail when processing engraving data, part locations, and customer requirements.

    Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on laser equipment.

    Support multiple production projects while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.

    Collaborate with team members to meet customer deadlines and production goals.

    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

    Education Requirements

    Technical training, trade school education, or coursework in manufacturing, machining, CAD, engineering technology, industrial technology, or related fields preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.

    Ability to read blueprints, prints, and technical drawings.

    Strong math skills, including geometry and measurement calculations.

    Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

    Ability to learn laser programming and laser processing techniques.

    Experience with CNC machining, CNC programming, CAD software, or manufacturing equipment is preferred.

    Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards is a plus.

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Ability to lift 35–50 lbs.

    No prior laser experience required—training is available for candidates with strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills.
