Job Description

Job description:
About the Role

Are you a skilled machine operator with an eye for precision and craftsmanship? We are seeking a dedicated Trumpf Laser Operator to join our team! In this role, you will play a key part in our manufacturing process—operating state-of-the-art Trumpf laser cutting equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring our finished parts meet high standards.

If you take pride in producing top-quality work, enjoy reading technical blueprints, and thrive in a dynamic shop floor environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation & Fine-Tuning: Safely operate Trumpf laser cutting equipment. You’ll have the authority to make minor modifications to program files to ensure parts match blueprints precisely.
  • Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect produced parts against blueprints and shop packet documents, maintaining complete accountability for product quality. You have the authority to increase inspection frequency as needed.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Perform and document required daily operator maintenance to keep equipment running at peak performance. Maintain safe work habits and report any safety concerns or accidents immediately.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Communicate any required program changes or adjustments back to the Engineering team to improve processes.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Accurately record labor times, track material usage, and document part inspections on time cards.
  • Team Collaboration: Step in to assist in other shop areas when management needs an extra set of hands.

What We’re Looking For
  • Technical Background: Completion of Trumpf Training School or equivalent hands-on experience operating Trumpf laser machinery.
  • Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic Math Skills: Proficient with basic shop math required for precision measurements and material tracking.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis throughout your shift.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional focus on quality control, maintenance, and detailed record-keeping.
  • Communication: Ability to follow written/verbal instructions clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering and management.

Why Join Us?
  • Hands-on experience with industry-leading machinery.
  • Supportive, team-oriented work environment with opportunities for growth.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
