TheLaser Punch Operator is responsible for setting up and operating laser punch machines to produce precision metal parts according to engineering specifications, ensuring quality, safety, and production goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser punch machines per work orders and blueprints.
- Load and unload metal sheets and finished parts.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Communicate production or quality issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Experience operating laser punch or laser cutting machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Plus
- Hands-on experience with Trumpf laser machines.
- Sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Familiarity with CNC programming or nesting software.
