We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Aerospace Laser Tracker Operator to join our growing aerospace manufacturing and inspection team. This position is responsible for performing high-accuracy dimensional inspections of aerospace tooling, assemblies, and manufactured components using portable laser tracking equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform dimensional inspections using Laser Tracker equipment.
Set up and align inspection equipment for complex aerospace parts, tooling, and assemblies.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and customer specifications.
Compare inspection results to design requirements and identify nonconformances.
Generate detailed inspection reports and documentation.
Assist Manufacturing and Engineering with troubleshooting dimensional issues.
Verify compliance with customer, AS9100, and internal quality requirements.
Maintain calibration status and proper care of inspection equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause investigations.
Travel to customer facilities when required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience operating Laser Tracker systems in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience with CAD models and inspection software.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of aerospace inspection experience.
Experience with portable metrology equipment.
Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
Familiarity with First Article Inspection (AS9102).
Experience working with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Atomics, Raytheon, or other aerospace customer requirements.
